Joining Us

Who "We" Are

Thanks for stopping by to check out DLDG2024! Our amazing team putting this event together are a passionate group of line dancers from Dunedin and Otago.

Twenty of our members recently went to the Auckland Festival and after an awesome time away, came home dedicated to bringing a large event to this end of the country. Our aim is to give dancers another opportunity to enjoy a multi day event (and hopefully to say thank you to Auckland for giving us the inspiration).

The Dunedin Line Dancing community has over 120 active members within the city and many, many more within a short drive from town. This year we have been joined by dozens of new dancers who are so enthusiastic that the classes feel like a party.

Lorna Williams has coordinated us all and managed to get 39 participants to our first meeting. With the help of Michelle Barron, our secretary, and other team members this meeting resulted in:

  • Wonderful Instructors

  • A confirmed date

  • Venues

  • A lot of very excited dancers.

We can't wait to welcome you to our city!
